Fitness is a state of health and mind. Khushbakht Zubair Butt is a young “iron lady” working at Structure Health and Fitness Club as an instructor and personal fitness trainer since the last two years. The Bridge recently interviewed her regarding fitness which we are sharing with our readers.
Bridge: What kind of fitness problems are faced by clients who come to you?
Khushi: Most of the problems people face are regarding fat and being skinny. The one who has fat wants to become fit and those who are skinny wants to become smart. You should feel healthy as well. The goal of your life should be to become healthy along with becoming smart. Your body is shaped through the workout. Some girls want to be skinny but it is a wrong way of thinking. They should be smart and healthy.
Bridge: Do you suggest exercise according to the body type of a person?
Khushi: There are three types of bodies in both males and females. They are an endomorph, mesomorph and ectomorph. They all have their own goals and they exercise according to their body structure. Some want to gain muscles and they lift weight while others want to lose fat and they perform different sets of abs. I would suggest that people should take guidance from the instructor and then do a certain exercise. I have seen people getting injured due to wrong exercises. Another problem here is that everyone needs immediate results. However, I plan different sets of exercises in which their goal is achieved as well and they don’t even get injured. Some people watch youtube videos and start exercising which is not good for them.
Bridge: Do you think our society is not well aware about fitness?
Khushi: Yes absolutely. There are no seminars or awareness campaigns regarding how important it is to remain fit. Some people are doing it on a smaller scale but they are not given much recognition either. A fitness trainer is a doctor who has to guide you according to your body shape and physique. Our society has great opportunities for males but very less for the females. Women need to work out especially post-pregnancy. They need to lift weights to make their body strong and to get back into shape but doctors have made this illusion that it’s not good for their health.
Bridge: Give us some tips for good health?
Khushi: You should wake up early in the morning. Have a healthy breakfast. You should take your lunch by 1 and your dinner should not be late than 8 pm. Drink lots of water and consume caffeine as less as possible. Walk in nature for at least half an hour daily and you would stay healthy.
Bridge: Some words you want to say about Structure Health and Fitness Club?
